Lauren Thomas and Daniel Ortiz placed in the top 25 in the province in their events at the OFSAA swimming championships held in Windsor on March 7 and 8. Lauren swam in the 200 Individual Medley open event and Dan swam in the 100m and 200m Freestyle open events.

“Both students are very dedicated and talented swimmers and BMLSS is proud of your outstanding efforts!” says coach Julia McCreadie.
The swim team also had an outstanding performance at the GBSSA swim meet earlier in the season. As a school, the swimmers achieved 336 points which placed them in the top 10 out of 20 schools. Many of the swimmers achieved personal best times in their individual events.
Congratulations also to the students who placed in the top 8 in their events: Abby McKenzie, Abby Scott, Nathan Watkinson, Annelies De Haan, Mitchell Evershed, Vienna Scholten, Dan Ortiz, Emma Chilton, Paige Larock and Lauren Thomas.
